1639 Hans Heinrich Bader Organ, Netherlands

Located in St. Walburgiskerk, Zutphen, Netherlands. Its current disposition is three manuals and pedalboard with a total of 8 stops.

It was built in two separated steps until its completion. As a matter of fact, in 1639 Bader received a contract to add a Rugpositief to the existing organ. A few years after completion a new contract followed for a new Hoofdwerk and a pedalboard. Since then, it has remained virtually unchanged until 1813, when a spree of alterations began. It was finally restored to its original Bader conception of 1639 by the Dutch Firm Orgelmakerij Gebr. Reil between 1993 and 1996. It is one of the largest organs in the Netherlands from the period of the Late Renaissance. All three manuals and pedal keep a considerable number of original pipes by Bader.
